How does the domain buying process work?

Finding, purchasing and transferring your new domain is a quick and easy process.

1. Find the Perfect Name – Search our name catalog to find the perfect domain name for your business or online venture.

2. Placing Your Order

Credit Card Purchases – Locate the domain name that you would like to purchase and select ‘Add to Cart. You can now continue shopping or, if you are ready to complete your payment transaction, click the “Checkout” link and you will be directed to the Shopping Cart where you can follow the simple onscreen instructions to complete your purchase.

Alternative Payment Methods – If you require an alternative method of payment, such as certified check or bank wire transfer, please contact us at 1-800-431-4934 for more information.

For domain purchases in excess of $5,000 or for clients that wish to use an escrow service for their purchase, we can complete the domain purchase transaction via Escrow.com. Please contact us for more information.

3. Order Verification – Once your order is received we will work diligently to confirm that your payment has been processed correctly, verify that the funds have cleared successfully and ensure that any required documentation we need to proceed is provided.

4. Domain Transfer – Once your order is confirmed and payment verified we will email you asking that you setup a free account at the registrar where the purchased domain name is registered (In most cases our domain names are registered at GoDaddy). Once we have received the required GoDaddy account information we initiate the domain name transfer process immediately.

As soon as the transfer is initiated you will receive an email notification from your receiving registrar with instructions on how to confirm the transfer.

Logo Source Files – For your convenience, access to your logo source files will be sent to you via email. If for any reason you do not receive them, let us know immediately and we will resend them to you promptly.

What's included with my domain name purchase?

Each purchase includes the domain name and logo associated with the name. Logo files are generally provided in .psd, .jpeg or .png formats @72dpi. Access to these logo files will be emailed to you upon purchase confirmation.

Simple logo customization is included with your domain name purchase. Simple changes include color changes, minor styling changes or basic element repositioning. For more extensive editing or revisions to your logo files, we do offer custom logo re-design for an additional charge.

How long will the transfer process take?

Once your payment has been received and the funds have cleared we will send the logo source files to you via email. The time to transfer your domain will vary from 1 to 10 days depending on the registrar where the domain name is currently registered and the *registrar that you choose to use.

In most cases our domain names are registered at GoDaddy, so we generally ask clients to setup a free GoDaddy account to expedite the transfer process. Once we have received the required GoDaddy account information we initiate the domain name transfer process immediately.

* If you choose a registrar other than the current one, please note that there is a mandated waiting period of 5 days that begins after the current owner approves the transfer.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds or exchanges are not allowed once an order has been placed. The decision to purchase one or more domain names from BrandBoat.com is a binding transaction and all sales are final. A sale will be deemed completed upon receipt of payment from buyer.

Buyers are advised to perform all necessary diligence prior to making a purchase.
